Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about vendor and inventory management in Claimory.
How does vendor and inventory management work in Claimory?
Claimory's Inventory page holds a shop's parts and materials, its vendors and its parts orders. Each vendor profile keeps the contact, phone, email, address, account number, payment terms, capabilities, a preferred-vendor star and notes. Each inventory item keeps a part number, category, quantity on hand, reorder point, reorder quantity, unit cost, barcode, supplier and location, and items at or below their reorder point are flagged on the inventory dashboard.
What can a shop do with Claimory inventory day to day?
In Claimory, a shop searches inventory by part number, description, supplier, brand, category or location, scans a barcode with the phone camera, adjusts stock with a reason, and turns low-stock items into a parts order through a three-step order wizard. Receiving an order adds the received quantity to stock on hand, and each manual adjustment is kept in the stock movement history.
Are Claimory parts orders linked to a claim?
No. A Claimory parts order belongs to the shop and the vendor, not to a claim. Parts cost on a repair is entered as a cost entry on the claim's Financials tab, which feeds that claim's margin.
Is vendor and inventory management included in Claimory's pricing?
Claimory vendors and inventory are included on Professional ($129.99 per month) and up, and in the free trial. Starter ($49.99 per month) does not include them. There is no limit on the number of vendors or inventory items.
Can I customize Claimory inventory categories or import existing data?
Claimory inventory items use built-in part categories such as Body Parts, Mechanical and Electrical, and material categories such as Abrasives, Body Filler and Masking; custom categories are not available. Reorder point and reorder quantity are set per item. Claimory has no spreadsheet import for inventory today, so items are added through the add-item wizard, and the list exports to CSV.
Does Claimory send low-stock alerts?
Claimory flags low stock inside the app: items at or below their reorder point show on the inventory dashboard and in the inventory list. Claimory does not send low-stock alerts outside the app today.
How does Claimory handle security for inventory data?
Claimory inventory, vendor and parts order records belong to one shop and are protected by Postgres row-level security, so no other shop can read them. Every member of the shop's workspace can view, add and edit inventory items and create parts orders, while deleting an inventory item or a parts order is limited to admins and managers.
Can I manage Claimory inventory and vendors from a phone?
Yes. Claimory runs in a phone browser with a mobile inventory view, camera barcode scanning, and tap-to-call on each vendor's phone number.
What inventory reports and exports does Claimory offer?
The Claimory inventory reports tab shows total inventory value and value by category. The inventory list exports to CSV with the part number, description, category, quantity, reorder point, unit cost, total value, supplier and location for each item. Claimory has no spend-by-vendor report today.
